I have long wanted to put together a project based on heist movies, but turning that dream into reality, especially with a heist movie theme, has proven tricky. After a few false starts, I found that incorporating AI tools into the process offered a fresh perspective and a way forward.

The project took me over 10 hours in total, and it was quite the journey. I had already designed the characters, knew their backstories, and had a clear vision of how I wanted them to appear. With that foundation, I used an AI-powered tool to generate the characters, the environments, and some of the key props, like the getaway driver’s car.

Once I had the images generated, I took them to an AI software platform that allowed me to animate them. This platform gave me the flexibility to control the camera movement, choose camera angles, and even decide whether the camera should be handheld or still. It’s incredible how the software allows us users to direct the movement of characters in the scene, making them feel dynamic and real. By applying this animation process, the still images began to come to life, adding a new dimension to the teaser.

One valuable lesson I learned was that sometimes, the AI tool needs a bit of guidance. To help refine the visuals, I created a mock-up using photo editing software. This step was crucial to clarify my vision and guide the AI tool more effectively.

Once the visual elements were ready, I turned to traditional editing software to piece everything together. Despite the advancements in AI, I still value the hands-on control and creative freedom that manual editing provides. It’s where all the pieces come together and the story takes shape.

For the voiceover, I crafted a script that captured the tone and style of the teaser. Using a voice modulation tool, I adjusted my voice to match the feel I wanted, while keeping my natural intonation and phrasing. It was a fun way to add a personal touch to the project.

In the end, blending AI capabilities with traditional editing allowed me to create something that has inspired me to create more images and videos to build out this project. It’s a reminder of how technology and creativity can come together to tell compelling stories.
