Enhancing Content Production with AI

I’ve been diving headfirst into the world of AI content. It’s become a big part of how I bring ideas to life, whether I’m starting from scratch or adding a spark of motion to something that already exists.

With the right tools, I can turn a few words into a full visual scene or take a still image and breathe life into it as a short, attention-grabbing video. Perfect for socials, websites or just exploring new ideas in a fresh way.

Here’s a look at some of my recent experiments with AI content. I’m based here in Bristol, and always happy to chat if you’ve got a project in mind or want to explore what’s possible.

Organic AI?

I set out to create something that felt hand-crafted but still had that polished, commercial feel using Ai tools. I landed on two mini concepts to test things out: one with strawberries, one with martinis.

The strawberry video started with Veo 3 and the Martini video with Midjourney. I also used stills from the start and end of the clips to create linking transition clips using Kling. The strawberry video begins with a block print-style look that shifts into a real strawberry falling into a bowl. The martini starts as a sketch before becoming a live-action-style scene, with the glass in the foreground and people wandering past in a sunny garden behind.

The motion graphics were made using traditional techniques in After Effects, just to give the videos some purpose.

Over 1.6 million Views

Earlier this spring, the AI baby trend was starting to take off. With Monaco just around the corner and my daughter being a huge F1 fan, I decided to create an AI baby video just for fun. I used trending TikTok audio as the base and generated images of popular F1 drivers reimagined as children using Sora. The best images were then brought to life and lip-synced using Kling.

The result was a video that reached over 1.6 million views on Instagram and more than 350,000 views on TikTok.

Our AI Cider Farm

I’ve been exploring how far you can push AI when creating advert-style content. Is it there yet? Honestly, it’s incredible, but not quite. What this test really highlighted is something I’ve seen again and again: AI works best when it isn’t pretending to replace a real, human moment. The more natural or organic the setting, the more noticeable it becomes when something feels off.

Think of it like CGI in film. Used creatively and in the right context, it can elevate a piece, but it’s not a substitute for emotional realism. That’s why AI content tends to land better in stylised, abstract, or high-energy formats: music videos, bold brand visuals, or anything with a bit of attitude. It’s not about avoiding AI, it’s about using it where it shines.

Photos into historic videos

I made a short tour video of Clifton in Bristol as a creative test, using my own photography as the starting point for AI-generated visuals. I visited a few interesting spots around the area, took photos, and then used those images as the foundation for short AI-generated clips.

Each image was enhanced using Midjourney’s editing and retexturing tools, then animated using the platform’s built-in features to bring the scenes to life.

Party on!

What if the guys from Wayne’s World were still making their show every Friday night? Same basement, same vibe, but now they’re in their 50s and trying to keep up with Instagram Reels.

So I made a video to find out. I used Sora to create images of an older Wayne and Garth, then animated them with Kling. The idea was to capture that same DIY charm, like they’re still doing everything themselves but have finally worked out how to post on Instagram.

Stills to videos with AI

Sometimes you have the perfect image but wish it has been shot as a video. This is the perfect time to fire up an Ai tool to bring the still image to life.

The examples here are both my photographs that were shot for the brand and were later brought to life for repurposing amongst marketing efforts.

The Heist

I’ve always loved heist movies and always wanted to make one of my own. So in spring 2025, I had a go at putting together a short teaser using AI tools. I started by writing out the concept, building out the characters and drafting a rough script. Then I opened up MidJourney and began prompting the images I’d had in my head.

Once I had the characters looking how I’d imagined, along with a good set of locations, I moved into animation using Kling, added voiceover with Eleven Labs, and started piecing the whole thing together.

The tools have come a long way even since then, so the next instalment should get even closer to the version I originally pictured. Watch this space.
